Joseph Trowbridge, DDS
Dr. Trowbridge has a B.S. in biology from the University of Minnesota in Duluth and a D.D.S. from the University of Minnesota. He worked as a biochemist for two years and found that he really enjoyed the science behind dentistry. Although his career as a biochemist was rewarding, he felt pulled to work with people and decided that dentistry was the perfect combination of using science to help people.
Continuing Education and Honors
Dr. Trowbridge regularly pursues opportunities to further his knowledge base and stay at the top of his field in dentistry. He has accreditation with the state board for conscious sedation, and is a fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantology. He has completed coursework on advanced prosthetic reconstruction through the Dawson Academy. He is also the recipient of the GILL award for excellence in prosthodontics.
An avid participant in organized dentistry, Dr. Trowbridge holds several memberships in dental organizations including: the American Dental Association, the St. Paul District Dental Society, the Minnesota Dental Association, and the International Congress of Oral Implantology. He has also served as a delegate for the St. Paul District for three years.
Dr. Trowbridge lectures regularly on implant dentistry locally. He has had the opportunity to lecture at the Star of the North Convention through the Minnesota Dental Association. He is also helping to launch a support program for referring doctors around the state. This support program teaches them about bone grafting and implant restorations.
Dr. Trowbridge is involved with many community organizations such as: Community of Hope Church in Rosemount, Union Gospel Mission, Donated Dental Services, and the nation-wide Give Kids a Smile program.
He was born in the Twin Cities and grew up in a family of five children. He is married to Amy and together they have two children, Isaac and Nora. His hobbies include golfing, skiing, and hockey.
